Changing Your Lens of Perception

Last week was a week out of the fiery pit of technology hell -- surely one of Dante’s deepest levels.


First my email wouldn’t work on my desktop. Then it wouldn’t work on my iPhone.


I would get one working only to have the other one stop working. I was with tech support for hours.


Just as I finally got my email working, I couldn’t get into my Vanguard account. They wanted proof of who I am and sent a verification code to an old email I no longer used. And the back up phone number had been cancelled. I had to wait 30 minutes on hold for help.



Ever had one of those weeks? Don’t you feel like the universe has it in for you? Is it any wonder that we resist change? Change one thing and the whole delicate balance crumbles.


I want to offer you my reframe, the story shift I used to get out of that fiery pit of frustration I was in.


Why do that? Why not just release my frustration with curses and tears? Well, sometimes you can't move forward it you don't. However you don't want to stay there or you will only attract more of the same. What you put your mind on is what you attract.


One of the keys to having a great life adventure, to experiencing more joy, more pleasure and more success in life -- is to change your story. By doing this you recalibrate your lens of perception. Watch the video below for more about how this works.

My Technology Pit Reframe:

The universe is developing my mental muscles of resilience. Every time I succeed in holding my temper, being gracious to the technical help, and seeing the humor in my situation, new neural networks are created and my agile mental muscles of grow.


It’s not easy to do in the moment. It's sometimes not easy to do days later. It takes practice. Just like exercising a muscle of the body. The more you do, the easier it comes and the happier your life.
